It’s week thirteen of the Master Key experience and at it’s conclusion will mark the halfway point on this journey of self-discovery. It’s been an amazing journey thus far. I’ve learned so much and I know that there is so much more coming in the next thirteen weeks.
One of our exercises this week is to write three cards of gratitude daily and add them to our pile of cards of our life experiences and accomplishments. These can be things like gratitude for your family or good health or smaller things like your morning coffee. We are to flip through these cards daily. What a great way to add a bit of positive reinforcement several times a day.
Happiness and Harmony
We have learned from Haanel that the creative power of thought explains every possible condition or experience. And that thought brings about conditions which correlate to our predominant mental attitude. By concentrating our thoughts we will bring about the conditions to realize our desires.
So what should we think about to get what we want? What is it that we want? “What you and I desire, what we all desire, what everyone is seeking, is Happiness and Harmony. If we can be truly happy we shall have everything the world can give. If we are happy ourselves we can make others happy. But we cannot be happy unless we have health, strength, congenial friends, pleasant environment, sufficient supply, not only to take care of our necessities but to provide for those comforts and luxuries to which we are entitled.”
We Are One
The old way of thinking was to be satisfied with what we have but the new way of thinking is to “know that we are entitled to the best of everything, that the Father and I are one and that the Father is the Universal Mind, the Creator, the Original Substance from which all things proceed.”
I find this very powerful, the thought that we are all an integral part of the great whole. That we are all one. That we are all part of that beauty and grandeur.
As I contemplate these thoughts and think about what lies ahead on this journey, let me close this post by wishing you all a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. May 2014 bring you your hearts’ desires.
